Swilled Dog Hard Cider – What to Expect Inside
Their taps offer you a wide variety of ciders from their canned flagships to their flavors exclusive to the cidery. Order a cider flight to sample everything they have on tap ff it is your first time visiting Swilled Dog! Our top three favorites were their exclusives Mango-Ginger, Peanut Butter & Jelly and Wild Berry.
While you enjoy the flight you can also entertain yourself at one of their tables with built in games like scrabble and candy land or play pool, darts or shuffleboard. They also have local bands periodically on the weekends to liven the room up. Just behind the bar you can catch a glimpse of their manufacturing process. You can also sample their small batch whiskeys and infusions in their spirits room.
Cider Tastings Can Include Food
Though their main focus in their tasting room is obviously their cider and spirits, they do have some food options if you want a bite while you visit for a tour and a cider flight. Their menu includes pulled pork BBQ, a charcuterie board, hummus and West Virginia’s contribution to the culinary world – pepperoni rolls!

Lucy’s Tap Supports Nonprofits | Swilled Dog Hard Cider
Besides putting West Virginia on the map in the hard cider industry, Swilled Dog Spirits is also dedicated to the support of some important causes. At the bar you’ll see their chalkboard announcing this month’s “Lucy’s Tap”, named after Swilled Dog’s mascot Lucy Pickles. Each month Swilled dog chooses a flavor and donates $1 of every pour to a nonprofit organization. On the month we visited benefits were going to Friends For Life, a non-profit no-kill sanctuary in Lewisburg, WV that focuses on re-homing dogs in bad situations.
Swilled Dog Hard Cider and Spirits is a one-of-a-kind experiential destination. They are also not far from a few of West Virginia’s iconic landmarks, Spruce Knob and Seneca Caverns.
