We arrived home yesterday after staying in The Majestic for 3 nights. It’s nice to be home, but we CAN NOT WAIT to go back! Every expectation was met or surpassed. The cabin was just perfection, very clean, up-to-date, and lacking nothing. We also had the chance to meet the owners, Daniel and Jamie. They could not have been more friendly and helpful. Thanks to their tips and advice, we found far more to do and explore in the area than we ever expected, and we left with a nice to-do list for our next visit. Our stay was an anniversary gift to ourselves, and I don’t believe we could ever find a more romantic and beautiful setting than Golden Anchor Cabins. We definitely intend to go back next year, and the next year, and the next year…

My wife and I stayed here August 16-18, 2019 for our 14th anniversary getaway. The cabin absolutely did not disappoint! The rocking chairs on the porch, the cool breeze from the woods, the hot tub, the amenities and all of the attention to detail……there’s just so much to speak highly of! Daniel and Jamie have really poured their hearts into every detail and made this place a real gem. Easily makes our short list of go-to getaway spots! The area is awesome too….don’t pass on this one, folks! You can NOT go wrong here!

Cabin is amazing.

Everything you need in a cabin and more. Comfortable, clean, porch, hot tub! We loved the Classic Cabin. Watched the deer cross the yard in the evening and in the morning. It was a home away from home and so relaxing. Perfect little 1 bedroom cabin with full kitchen. Wish we could have stayed a week.

We stayed at the Meadows cabin 7/5/18-7/8/18. This cabin is breathtaking and beautiful there wasn’t anything that wasn’t thought of! We will stay again every year around our anniversary..Well done Golden Anchors you will now be a tradition for us!

My husband and I just spent 3 glorious days/nights at the Royale to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We could not have asked for a more special place. From the music playing upon our arrival, to the heated bathroom tiles and towel racks, the fabulous 2 person shower, the luxurious king size bed, and the wonderful hot tub…every inch of the place was gorgeous and peaceful. Sitting in the rocking chairs, sipping coffee, watching the sun rise or sipping cocktails in the hot tub looking at the stars,this cabin provides a wonderful romantic atmosphere. It is the perfect place! Definitely planning a trip back.

Without a doubt, a little piece of heaven! Extraordinary, fully appointed cabin with extremely kind and accommodating owners. Local scenery and activities made for the perfect weekend getaway – we can’t wait to return!

Our stay in the King Cabin on 7/24 – 7/26, 2017, was incredible. There is nothing this cabin did not have. It was a cozy, 1 bedroom with a comfortable bed, great 2-person shower with heated floors and a kitchen that had everything. It was a quiet setting and within a 10 minute drive of Black Water Falls State Park. After hiking, the hot tub was wonderful. We have rented many homes/cabins over the years from coast to coast and this one is our most favorite rental, for couples. Thank you for making our getaway so special.

Such a relaxing atmosphere from the moment we first stepped into the cabin. It was beautiful, quaint, cozy, and very clean. I just loved the personal touches they put into the cabin to really make you feel at home. Like games and puzzles incase of rainy days. Such a wonderful cabin! If we ever make our way back to the area, this is the only place we are staying at.

My boyfriend, fiancé, and now husband have been coming the Golden Anchor for about five years now. When we were decided where to get married we went through so many different venues before we both thought of the king cabin. This is both of our second weddings so we did not want anything extravagant. This marriage was for us…. Not guests. I emailed Daniel about getting married in the king cabin and he was all for it. He planned everything. He found us a minister, florist, photographer, and a place for a romantic dinner after the ceremony. When we got there, we spend on night in the Royale cabin while Daniel and Jamie got our cabin ready for our wedding. They cleared all the electronics for the fireplace and had the florist replace it with beautiful floral arrangements and candles. The photographer had everything set up as well. I was a beautiful ceremony and everything was perfect. Daniel and the photographer took us to Caanan Valley for more pictures as well. The romantic dinner was at a Muttley’s in Davis and they opened just for a romantic dinner for us. When we returned to the cabin it was set up with chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, arose petals, and heart swans on the bed. We cannot thank Jamie and Daniel enough. We had an unforgettable wedding and will celebrate every anniversary in the special place we got married.
