Rides are available year-round. Each time of year presents different experiences so there is no wrong time to go! Springtime witnesses buds on the trees and flowers in bloom. The air is crisp and fresh. Canaan has great summer weather, rarely getting above the mid-80s. The wild berries and apples are ripe, causing frequent sightings of our state’s treasured black bear. Autumn starts in September with our colors peaking in early October. The foliage is unparalleled and the sound of crunching leaves only adds to the riding experience. Winter riding can be very enjoyable as well as you travel through a forest of snow covered branches. No matter when you come for your mountain getaway, a horseback ride is the perfect compliment.
