We're conveniently located on Route 32,  just minutes away from Canaan Valley State Park, which makes the Golden Anchor the perfect place to stay... Below are the recommended routes for getting from there to here.

From Washington, DC & Northern Virginia:  take Route 66 West to Strasburg, VA and take Route 55 West to Morefield, WV, follow Route 55 through Petersburg & Seneca Rocks, WV and turn right onto Route 33, then follow Route 33 to Harman, WV and turn right onto Route 32 and follow for 7 miles to the Golden Anchor, on the left. From Baltimore, MD:  take Route 70 West to Hancock, MD and take Route 68 West to Cumberland, MD and Exit at Green Street and take Route 220 South through Keyser to Route 50 West, then turn left onto Route 93 to Schear, turn right onto Route 42 and follow to Route 93 West past Mount Storm Lake & Power Plant, then turn left onto Route 32 South through Davis, WV into Canaan Valley, and we are located on the right 1 3/4 miles past Canaan Valley State Park & Ski Resort.

From Pittsburgh & North:  take Route 79 South to Morgantown and take Route 68 East to Friendsville, MD, then take Route 42 South to McHenry, MD and take Route 219 through Deep Creek, MD to Thomas, WV, take Route 32 South through Davis, WV into Canaan Valley, and we are located on the right 1 3/4 miles past Canaan Valley State Park & Ski Resort. From the South:  take I-81 to Harrisonburg, VA and take Route 33 West to Harman, WV, turn right onto Route 32 and follow for 7 miles to the Golden Anchor, on the left. From Ohio & West:  take I-79 to Exit 99 for Weston, WV, then take Route 33 East through Elkins, WV to Harman, WV, turn left onto Route 32 and follow for 7 miles to the Golden Anchor, on the left.
